The Friday morning brought with it the end to our little camping holiday. A big thank you to the Davisons, who made the holiday possible, and for putting up with us hogging your bathrooms, and killing the grass in your back yard.
We packed up the tent and were quite surprised to find that we were able to fit it back into the bag it came in - obviously some TARDIS like happenings going on there. We'd also managed to make the Davison's rear lawn look a distinctly yellower shade of green - oops!. Hopefully it should right itself after a couple of days.
One last sight to see before we hit the road was Lennox Bridge. Only just down the road from the Davisons, Lennox Bridge was built in 1833, and is the oldest stone arch bridge on mainland Australia. This old bridge is nestled amongst the greenery and winding roads heading down the escarpment of the Blue Mountains. Whilst driving down to the bridge, we were fortunate to see a large Lyrebird cross the road into the rainforest in front of us. First time we'd ever seen one. Unfortunately it disappeared before we could get the camera out.
At the bridge, we got out and explored underneath it - the kids had fun jumping the stream flowing underneath.
That was the last bit of fun for the holiday. The rest of the day was devoted to the drive back to Canberra, and to start the process of cleaning up from the trip.
It was fun going camping again - we may go again in the future now that we've rekindled the flame. Next time, Elissa is thinking of roughing it though - no friendly people with nice house, amenities and warm shower to stay with, just pit toilets and a lot of deodorant :)

Lennox Bridge is gorgeous, must put it on our "to see one day" list. But I'd pass on the camping rough bit - pit toilets and no showers - no thankyou xxx
